68 degrees in January
Today was a true gem of a day! Well intentioned plans to do anything productive indoors were quickly thrown aside as soon as the clouds passed and the sun shone like May.
Sean and I brought Stella out for her 2007 debut which was just so marvy – and here we thought we wouldn’t see her til March, if the groundhog saw his shadow.
We were lucky enough to catch Jamie and Christy on Rusty Trawler and meet up for a little two wheeling action. How could we not – how often do you get 68 degrees in Jan (71 in Brooklyn where local restaurants fired up there outdoor barbeques), honestly, I was out in just a blouse and jeans and saw others in shorts and tank tops.
It would have been wrong to not pay homage to this gorgeous day – even with the knowledge that we, not Mother Nature, were responsible for the global warming that caused it.
So happy new year to all and may there be many more bits of loveliness for everyone to enjoy.
As an aside, we scooted to the Rhinebeck Deli where we ordered Sean’s specialty sandwich: plain bun, peppered turkey, swiss, bacon, mayo, tomato, lettuce, salt & pepper, oil & vinegar, and hot sauce. This is truly an amazing sandwich and everyone who tries one is an instant convert.
